Passive Solar

Monsieur Laurent and Madame Laurent want to incorporate their French heritage into their newly designed Passive Solar home. They would like to combine the cobble stoned look of a French cottage with a more sleek contemporary style to emphasize the contrast between traditional and modern. Natural materials such as smooth, lustrous wood and polished stone will be used and will be modified to fit the modern style of the interior. Warm, toasty colors will be used for the interior to reflect the flourishing beauty of the rich French countryside of Colmar. The large amount of fenestration around the home will transform the lush and opulent garden outside to inside. The Fleur de Lis is the running motif and inspiration throughout the home.
